Transitional Age Housing Supervisor
$15.48/hour. Full time. Responsibilities: This position oversees the placement, supportive services, and case management for transitional age youth through the SMART Housing Program; coordinates placement of transitional age youth through referrals from the Children Bureau, homeless shelters, human service agencies, and homeless housing providers; and regularly monitors the youth house to ensure program guidelines, house rules, and client objectives are met. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in either sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education or a related field. Or High School diploma or equivalency and 12 semester hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other social service and two years experience in public or private human services, of which one year must be mental health direct care experience. Prior experience working within the Child Welfare System, providing Mental Health Services, professional experiences with transitional age youth. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and willingness to learn Microsoft Excel. Must carry $100,000/$300,000 bodily liability car insurance. Click here for a job description. Head Start Cook/Food Manager
$10.00/hour. Part time. Our Head Start program is seeking a Cook/Food Manager to provide the Head Start center’s daily nutritious meals and snacks and conduct nutrition education for Head Start children and families. Positions available at our Greensburg, Donegal, and Youngwood locations. General duties include the planning and preparation of meals, maintaining regulations in accordance with USDA, providing small group nutritional exercises, maintaining food records, and ordering/picking up required supplies. Education, Experience, & Related Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred; some previous experience or background in food preparation/nutrition is desirable; familiarity or involvement with the Head Start program is helpful; valid PA driver’s license and insurance as mandated by the agency; Act 33/34 clearances; and must be able to transport groceries as needed. Head Start Maintenance Worker
$12.36/hour. Part time. Our Head Start program is seeking a maintenance worker to perform general building and ground maintenance duties including, but not limited to, minor repairs on boilers, furnaces, A/C, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Employee should be able to push/pull, lift/move up to 100 lbs. High school diploma or GED required in addition to a valid PA driver’s license and company mandated car insurance.
