Westmoreland Community Action (WCA) is a non-profit organization that works to improve individuals and families quality of life and reduce poverty in the community.

WCA is currently seeking a Head Start Health Services Manager. The Head Start Health Services Manager will oversee the Health Team and work in conjunction with other component teams in preventive health services for all Head Start and Early Head Start Children and Families.

Core Responsibilities include:

Evaluating, planning, and implementing plans to meet the health needs of enrolled children. Assist in screenings, attend home visits, and coordinate with the Disability Coordinator and Nutrition consultant plans to best meet the health care needs of children and families. Provide education to staff on how to best meet the health care needs of the children.

Education, experience and skills desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Health or a licensed practical nurse, preferable a registered nurse or a combination of related education and experience.
  • At least one year experience working with children and families.
  • Experience working in Head Start or Early Head Start is a plus.
  • Valid Pa. Driver’s license and car insurance mandated by the agency.
  • Act 33 and 34 clearances.
