Why call Monessen home?

Monessen combines small-town charm with convenient access to larger metropolitan areas. Located about 28 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh, residents can easily commute to the city for work or entertainment.

The city sits near several colleges, including Penn West University’s California, PA campus, Douglas Education Center, Seton Hill University, Westmoreland County Community College, and the University of Pittsburgh. Nearby shopping centers and Mid Mon Valley Transit bus routes make it easy to reach services and travel throughout the region, even without a car.

Monessen was built on the hard work and determination of generations of steelworkers, and that proud history continues to shape the city’s identity today. It’s a place where neighbors support one another and residents can feel connected, valued, and truly at home.

What is a modular home?

A modular home is built in sections inside a controlled factory environment, then delivered to the property and assembled on a permanent foundation. Because the sections are built indoors, construction is never delayed or damaged by weather, and each stage is inspected as it is completed.

You own the property

You own the home and the land it sits on. These homes are financed through a standard mortgage.

Built to the same codes

Modular homes meet the same building codes as traditional site-built homes.

Set on a permanent foundation

The home is assembled on-site and stays there, just like site-built construction.
